Starting on December 15, SilencerCo will be selling threaded pistol barrels for the Glock 19. The new barrels will join a growing list of threaded pistol barrels offered by the company. Currently, they offer barrels for the G17 and G21. Skip down in the article to see a list of all of the models for which the company is planning to make barrels.

These barrels are made of 416R stainless steel and have a black nitride finish. The threads on the G19 are a standard 1/2×28. The total barrel length is 4.5″.

MSRP is $220. The barrels will work in Gen 3 and Gen 4 models. This video gives some of the basics on the G17 barrel, but also applies to the G19:

Additional barrels are being developed for the following handguns:

  • Glock 17L and 34
  • Smith & Wesson M&P
  • Springfield XD
  • SIG SAUER P226

How about some 40 S&W Glock barrels? After all, they say they tested their 40 S&W Osprey on a G22.

@Boss Chonk Glock's factory threaded G23 with suppressor sights is a great host gun. Subsonic ammo availability is excellent too since you can pick up 180gr at Wal-mart.

Are the barrels themselves any better than the factory? Or are they just threaded?
