The 2017 IPSC Handgun World Shoot XVIII was the 18th Handgun World Shoot held at the new National Shooting Center in Châteauroux, France during the end of August and start of September.

There were 30 stages divided into 5 areas, with each area being named after and having themes from one of the 5 continents Africa, Asia, America, Australia or Europe.

US shooter Ben Stoeger won the IPSC Production division. Jessie Duff, USA, finished 2:nd in ladies Open division. For more details, check the Wikipedia. 

Ben Stoeger won the Production division. But look at the results below! 99.9815% on the winner is less than a “C vs. A” hit, it’s like a breath in the wrong place. Pavel Torgashov was so close, full results here.

Eric Grauffel, France, won the Standard division, shooting for Italian Tanfoglio. Robert Vogel was second at 97.33%, probably not as far away as the winner would have liked. Full results here.

Which leads us into the subject of all these pictures taken by Slim Jim – Tanfoglios at the IPSC World Shoot in France 2017. These photos have never been shown before.

For €10 you could buy a lottery ticket and win this handgun. Whoever chose the color combination must be color blind, but I’m sure it’s a nice handgun. Unfortunately it’s probably worth more in a collection than doing range time.

And finally, the Tanfoglio Domina Extreme. This is for the Open division and I think the name (which I don’t is very clever) comes from the fact that Eric Grauffel dominated the division.

Tanfoglio sometimes spell the names Xtreme or Extreme.

The French Foregin Legion was there as well. To recruit and protect. However I would suppose trying to attack an IPSC Practical Shooting World Shoot would one of the most stupid ideas ever.
