Fitting In: Best Holster for Glock 43/43x
The holster is the pivot point of carrying a pistol. Everything rides on your ability to retain your weapon; otherwise, the individual is forced to carry or shove the weapon into less-than-preferred locations on the body. Even when carrying a compact or subcompact pistol, carrying can reveal an uncomfortable truth: comfort is everything. So, for the sake of this article, we are looking at what I consider the best holster for the Glock 43/43X. This subcompact platform can pack a lot of heat for being so reduced in size, but carrying a weapon that is significantly upgraded can become tricky when lights, optics, and, yes, even a compensator are added.
Best Shoulder Holsters: Comfortable, Concealable, and Ready for Carry
In the world of concealed carry, we always talk about the fastest and newest methods of carrying a concealed handgun. For some, it's an appendix carry style up front, while others prefer the latest and greatest Inside The Waistband Kydex holsters. For some, shoulder holsters are a great option for a number of reasons.

TFB Review: Craft Holsters Panther Belt Holster
Welcome back to another TFB review. This week, I wanted to look at the Craft Holster Panther outside the waistband (OWB) holster. For the most part, inside the waistband (IWB) style holsters are typically the most commonly used holsters, but the classic outside the waistband belt-mounted holsters are some of the best choices when the weather starts to change. I’ve had the Craft Holster Panther OWB rig for a few weeks now and have plenty to say about it. Let's take a closer look at the Craft Holsters Panther belt holster.

Safariland Adds Holster Fits for GLOCK Gen 6 Pistols
Safariland has announced new holster fits for the recently introduced GLOCK Gen 6 series, covering the G17, G19, and G45 models. With the expansion, users of the updated pistols now have access to Safariland’s duty-grade retention systems as well as the company’s inside-the-waistband and everyday carry options. I played around on Safariland’s holster finder and searched for Gen 6 Glocks, and there were already quite a few options available.
TFB Review: Werkz Bisect Kydex Holster System
Werkz is a company dedicated to helping customers carry their pistol, with all that that entails. Their lineup includes five styles of holsters, magazine carriers that either attach to your holster or standalone carriers, as well as weapon-mounted and handheld flashlights. Werkz saw my review of the CZ P-09C Nocturne pistol and asked if I’d review the Werkz Bisect Kydex Holster system, which is optimized for Appendix Inside the Waistband carry (AIWB). Although the Bisect is set up for appendix carry, the piggybacked magazine carrier can be separated so that the pistol holster can be carried with a smaller profile, or in a different position in the waistband. To say that the Werkz Bisect is a full-featured holster would be an understatement! Let’s see why.
TFB Review: Safariland Solis Holster, ALS Security For EDC
Safariland has long been known for their rugged and durable holsters and gear. In their pursuit of giving gun owners a plethora of options, they introduced the Safariland Solis holster. The Solis is designed as an OWB (Outside the Waistband) holster that sits tight against the wearer’s hip, which led Safariland to bill the Solis as a concealment holster. While one could conceal the Solis under winter clothing, I tend to consider it as bridging the gap between duty holsters and deep concealment holsters. Let’s go on a safari to see the Solis in action.
The Rimfire Report: HUSH Holsters Suppressed MK IV Adapter
Suppressors on most handguns are pretty silly for most people and most applications. One of the rare exceptions to this is suppressors on .22LR handguns. The MK IV, although not specifically designed as such, has evolved into one of the best suppressor hosts over the years. With a fixed, often very accurate, pre-threaded barrel, the ability to mount optics, it's often the first choice of many for a first pistol suppressor host. However, one drawback of putting a suppressor on any pistol you plan to use at the range is that there’s typically no good place to put a hot suppressor-equipped pistol when you’re not using it. Today on The Rimfire Report, we’re checking out a great addition to the HUSH Holster lineup - their MK IV adapter, which solves this problem.
FALCO’s Redesigned Duty Holsters Boost Safety with New Hood System
FALCO Holsters has announced a significant upgrade to its Kydex Duty Holster lineup, introducing a completely redesigned safety hood. This new mechanism enhances user safety and operational speed by repositioning the thumb-activated release button for smoother, faster draws and adding a protective shroud to prevent accidental release. The squared hood profile now supports reflex sights up to 1.18” in height, keeping compatibility with the latest law enforcement optics and iron sights.
TFB Behind the Gun #187: Hush Holsters & the SKS Renaissance
It’s not a product that’s for everyone, but it’s one that I’m happy to support. Today on the podcast, we’ve brought back Spencer from HUSH Holsters, which has come back with a vengeance after a brief one-year hiatus. With the HUSH (Hush Universal Suppressor Holster) holsters flying off the printers with tons of satisfied customers, Spencer has turned his attention to the SKS platform. The SKS 2000, which you guys have seen here on the blog, has become extremely popular not just here in the US, but in Canada as well. Today, Spencer and I will talk about everything he and his small team have been up to for the last year, and also give us a sneak peek at things to come just around the corner for HUSH Holsters.

Into Alternative Carry Styles? FALCO's Got You Covered

These new kydex options will help those who prefer or need a chest carry, small of the back, or cross-draw holster to get what they need for the gun that they carry.

First Look At FALCO’s REAL Carbon Fiber Holsters
When it comes to holsters, we have grown used to the debate on whether or not you should choose leather or Kydex for a daily carry holster. Ever since the release of Kydex holsters, there have been two main options for holster material. What if there were a viable third option? I heard Falco Holsters was coming out with a set of holsters that are either a hybrid or fully made of genuine carbon fiber. Unlike carbon fiber texture printed onto Kydex holsters, these Falco Holsters are fully made out of real carbon fiber, which made me immediately wonder how they performed in daily life. Let's take a closer look at Falco Holsters' carbon fiber options.

New Weapon Light & Laser Compatibility Options from FALCO Holsters
FALCO Holsters has one of the most extensive online catalogs of holster options available, whether you’re into Kydex or leather. Over the years, FALCO has grown from a small garage in rural Slovakia making leather falconry gloves to a state-of-the-art workshop that now provides holsters worldwide to civilians, military units, and law enforcement agencies. This month, they’ve announced a new expansion for their holster lineup to now include compatibility with even more lights and lasers than before.
FALCO Holsters Introduces New Carbon Fiber Holsters
Carbon fiber is an innovative material. It’s composed of a web of filaments woven in a specific pattern and mated with resin. On its own, carbon fiber is flexible and soft to the touch. When the proper amount of epoxy resin is added to the carbon fiber weave, a strong and lightweight bond is made.

Kydex Vs Leather Holsters: Which Is Best For You?
Trying to figure out the best holster to carry a concealed handgun in daily can become overwhelming with options and configurations. The age-old question when looking for a new holster is to choose between Kydex and leather holsters. Both materials have their strengths as well as their drawbacks. To add even more options to the market, I decided to check out a hybrid holster that is made out of both materials. I recently snagged all three styles from Falco Holsters and gave them a fair shakedown to see which style I prefer the best.
POTD: Condition One On The Chest
Imagine a piece of leather so sweet it fits right into TFB’s Photo Of The Day. Well, here it is in the form of the Pathfinder Chest Holster 1911 made by 1791 Gun Leather. It makes me want to casually walk around with my binoculars (although I usually prefer thermal ones), with a 1911 - cocked and locked - in the middle of my chest. Previously I never felt this need, but now I do.
