[SHOT 2026] AS Designs MP5 Forced Reset Triggers
Active Safety Designs, aka AS Designs, had several new Arc-fire forced reset triggers on display at SHOT Show 2026. The quirks of US gun laws mean that this is not a machine gun conversion, though in practice it seems a lot like one. Let’s check it out.
[SHOT 2026] RIA Pak-Out FOLDING Pump Action Shotgun
We’ve all seen break-action shotguns and pump-action shotguns, but have you ever seen a break-action pump shotgun? Me neither, until SHOT Show 2026. Rock Island Armory’s Pak-Out folding 12-gauge may claim the title as the most unique new gun on the show floor this year.
Silencer Saturday #416: Recovering From SHOT Show
Good afternoon, everyone, and welcome back to TFB’s Silencer Saturday, brought to you by Yankee Hill Machine, manufacturers of the new Victra 20-gauge shotgun suppressor. SHOT Show has come to an end, and it is time to debrief from a very busy week. It's a great time to be in the suppressor space with all of the action we are seeing.

[SHOT 2026] BOE's Lightweight Inconel 9mm Can
BOE Suppression, the silencer branch of DuraMag, had the new IncoLite 9 series of silencers on display at SHOT Show 2026. Lightweight and Inconel usually don’t go in the same sentence, but these little cans manage to do both. Let’s take a look at the specs and features.
[SHOT 2026] Anschutz 1727 APR: Built To Win With A Big Price Tag
The world of precision rimfire is wide and wonderful. You can buy a budget-friendly Savage and make the Richie Riches of the scene cry … or you can buy something pricey and enjoy shooting something that’s actually purpose-built for this competition scene, while the poors can only envy you. The new Anschutz 1727 APR definitely fits into that second category, and the Competition variant (pictured here at their SHOT booth) even more-so.
[SHOT 2026] Jacob Grey Hex Pro Pistol and Recoil Reaper 1911 Buffer
The two newest products from Jacob Grey Firearms, seen at SHOT Show 2026, were the Hex Pro 9mm pistol and the Recoil Reaper hydraulic drop-in buffer for 1911-pattern pistols. The Hex Pro pistol features Armored Billet CNC-machined and DLC-coated internal and external components, including the ambidextrous safety, ejector, disconnector, magazine release, grip screws, hammer, and sear. The patented Recoil Reaper buffer is designed in collaboration with Kyntech and is compatible with double-stack or single-stack Commander-length 1911s.
[SHOT 2026] New Scopes and New ACOG/RCR Combo From Trijicon
Catching up with Trijicon at this year’s SHOT Show we were pleased to hear about a couple of cool new products including a slick ACOG/RCR Combo. Alongside the new combo Trijicon have some new Credo line scopes and the VCOG is now available in Flat Dark Earth.
[SHOT 2026] Automatic For The People: Now You Can DIY A Gatling Gun
When I was a kid, one of my favorite GI Joes was Rock ‘n Roll, who dual-wielded a set of twin-barrel Gatling guns. Very cool to an 8-year-old, but middle-aged me realized the whole idea was ridiculous—there’s no way someone would could use a Gatling gun as a personal, portable weapon.
[SHOT 2026] Armasight PRO Series Of Thermal Optics
At SHOT Show 2026, Armasight introduced the PRO Series of their thermal products. The main upgrade is the new ArmaCore 640 Gen 4 A-SWaP System, a thermal engine powered by a 1.8 GHz Quad-Core GPU and an integrated AI Neural Processing Unit that, along with a 60Hz frame rate provide a smooth image on the Full HD display.
[SHOT 2026] Trigger Time with the New FightLite DFX
At this year’s SHOT Show we had the chance to put a few rounds through Florida-based FightLite’s all new DFX, or Dual-Feed Conversion. FightLite talked us through the new guns and explained some of their features. The DFX is an upper receiver group which can be paired with any MIL-Spec AR-15/M16/M4 lower receiver. Like other FightLite firearms the DFX uses M27 linked ammunition belts (or AR-15/Stanag magazines). Unlike other FightLite weapons, however, the DFX doesn’t have a quick-change barrel which FightLite says aims to make the DFX simpler, cheaper and more streamlined for the customer.

SIG Sauer introduced their 9mm hammer-fired double stack 2011-style pistol, the P211, back in Summer 2025. This week at SHOT Show they had a few new additions to the highly competitive line.
[SHOT 2026] SIG Partners with IAI to Develop the Firestorm Armed Drone
There was a little bit of a drone theme at this year’s SHOT Show, with some of the companies showing off how their weapons could be integrated with medium-size rotor drones. Yesterday we showed you Colt’s collaboration with SURVICE to mount a 40mm automatic MK47 grenade launcher on a drone and today we bring you SIG Sauer’s impressive integration of an M250 on a IAI quad-rotor drone.
[SHOT 2026] Living The Fudd Dream
These days, tacticool everything is what’s hot at SHOT. Whether it’s AR-pattern rifles, semi-auto handguns with high-capacity mags, thermal sights, and tons of stuff that bolts on to your rifle’s forend, you can find equipment at SHOT that would have made a Navy SEAL green with envy not very long ago.
[SHOT 2026] Arken's 3000 Yard $600 On-Gun Laser Rangefinder

[SHOT 2026] Savage Arms Builds A Better Model 110 (And Slug Guns, Too)
Savage Arms is busy. Over the past few years they’ve got back into the pistol business, they’ve overhauled their Axis bolt-action, they’ve introduced the Renegauge shotgun, they introduced their first lever-action since the Model 99 was canceled, they rebooted the value-oriented Stevens line with the Model 334 and they’ve shuffled their rimfires around a bit. They even brought out a straight-pull bolt action lineup. One thing they haven’t done is tinker with their classic Model 110 design; they’ve introduced models with new features, but the rifle’s action itself has stayed the same.
[SHOT 2026] Jacob Grey Firearms Recoil Reaper - 1911 Hydraulic Buffer
Jacob Grey Firearms showed up at SHOT 2026 with the Recoil Reaper, a hydraulic pistol buffer system co-developed with Kyntech. We spoke with Tanner at the booth, who show us the recently new Nox 9, Hex Pro, which launched late last year, but the Recoil Reaper is the newest product for this show. At $229.99 MSRP, this hydraulic buffer targets shooters looking for recoil management beyond traditional spring systems.
[SHOT 2026] 5.11 Tactical Roundup - AMP is Back, VXI Goes Full Send
Walking into the 5.11 booth at SHOT 2026 felt like deja vu. The AMP pack is back. After teasing it on social media late last year and watching the comment sections explode, 5.11 listened and brought back their All Missions Pack series in limited quantities. But that's just the opening act. We spent time with the team getting the full rundown on everything from plate carriers that won't ship until 2027 to a partnership with Beyond Clothing that brings new office-appropriate uniforms to the VXI line.
[SHOT 2026] An FG42 Or Walther WA2000 For Everyone
One of the coolest things about the SHOT Show basement is noticing unique firearms that just aren’t mainstream. Like, say, a scaled-down FG42 that’s chambered in 9x19mm and takes Glock mags. Or a Walther WA2000 clone that you can actually afford. The crew from Rhineland Arms had both on display this year—here’s what they’re about.
[SHOT 2026] Death From Above - The Colt Mk47 Grenade Launcher Drone
One of the most eye-catching elements of Colt’s booth this year isn’t even at eye level. It’s suspended 15 feet above the show floor. It’s a collaboration between Colt and SURVICE, a drone manufacturer.
