The MAKO Group and Meprolight Release of the MX3 Flip Magnifier
Meprolight, manufacturers of various sighting systems including the innovative Bullseye handgun sighting system, have announced the release of their own flip-to-side magnifier for red-dot and similar 1x optics. The new MX3-F includes a flip to side mount with the magnifier that includes a Q/D rail interface for quick donning and doffing of the magnifier when not in use.

This classic image of John Noveske had me wonder what he is holding. I found out it is a Mako product called the UTA (Universal Tactical Attachment). The giant hook has an integrated picatinny mount so you can mount the Glock onto the rail of a long gun. It is an adapter that plugs into a Gen 3 Glock grip. It reminds me of the ENDO Glock stock adapter but it does not have any upper support on the beavertail. So I imagine the Glock will move a bit under recoil and muzzle climb.
Meprolight releases Optimized Duty Sight
Meprolight from the Mako Group has come out with a new handgun front and rear sighting system that consists of strips of tritium that line up with each other to almost form a sort of “cross hair” in addition to a center front sight dot, when everything is aligned. The design comes from the R4E Evolution that came out last year. Their video announcement of the product is pretty well done. From Meprolight-
