POTD: Suppress Your Springfield Kuna

The Springfield Armory Kuna is a compact 9mm PDW with a modern design. Built around a monolithic aluminum upper, it features a roller-delayed blowback system. The Kuna uses a fixed, cold hammer-forged 6-inch barrel with a Melonite finish for durability and consistent accuracy. The platform includes a reversible, non-reciprocating charging handle that folds down when not in use, along with ambidextrous controls for the safety, magazine release, and bolt release.

Below: How it kind of started. Kuna’s roller-delayed operating system paired with the factory 1/2×28 threaded barrel makes it an ideal suppressor host, offering hearing-safe performance and increased accuracy. If you haven’t tried subsonic ammunition with a setup like this, now’s the time!

The Kuna ships with two 30-round magazines and supports an optional Strike Industries side-folding brace for enhanced stability. Named after the Croatian Pine Marten, known locally as the Kuna, it pays tribute to HS Produkt’s heritage and craftsmanship.

What would be even better than a suppressed Springfield Kuna? It would of course be the HS Produkt Kuna 9mm & .40 S&W submachine gun in full auto - suppressed as well of course!
