As you can imagine from the name Finnaccuracy is from Finland. They invent a lot of clever things for long range shooting, like the MSR reticle for instance.
Ever since WWII and Simo Häyhä’s (nicknamed White Death) adventures against the Russians Finland has a name and respect in sniping. It’s probably no coincidence that the three top shooters at the IPSC Rifle World Shoot in the Open Division came from Finland, they keep on breeding top shooters.
Around this time of the year some of us have the time to sit down and perhaps spend a few hours preparing next year’s shooting season. Why not spend a few minutes checking this Bullet Drop Compensation system?

Now – we challenge you to share photo of your ballistic turret in comments! You may also use ours freely as template if you want to develop yours forward. Our BDC system is our intellectual property, but still 100% free for any private use.
The system has proven its efficiency in many situations, winning several National Finnish Sniper championships for instance. It is very popular, and almost mandatory in tactical sniper-type LR shooting where time is limited and any dope/wind chart reading, not to mention ballistic computers, wastes precious time. Functions:
– Elevation turret has pre-calculated milliradian sizes for torso-width target. Works perfectly with our MSR reticle, as exact target milliradian width can be set directly to elevation turret. No distance calculations needed at all! Equaling distances are ballistically matched to bullet drop, within Cd/6DOF ballistic engine accuracy.
– Windage turret has 2, 4, 6 meters per second (white, yellow, red) direct sidewind values. Each value in vertical wind row is matching distance for wind as hundreds of meters. Spin drift is included. Any wind value – even ones that are not pre-calculated, can be set extremely simple and fast way. Just by multiplying or dividing click marked amounts. For instance- 8m/s wind requires 2x more clicks than 4m/s wind in same distance.
– Red windage turret red color is memorization aid. Red = Right wind adjustment. Green color is “Vihreä” in Finnish- also Finnish word “left” starts with letter “V”.”
