[SHOT 2016] Kinetic Development Group

At SHOT show this year, if I had to pick one company that had the best accessories for the FN SCAR platform, hands down, it would be Kinetic Development Group.  Aside from accessories for the FN SCAR platform, Kinetic Development Group also makes some neat accessories for the Ar-15 platform as well as a growing suite of M-LOK based rail accessories.

SCAR Talon 45/90 Ambidextrous Safety. This is a new product for Kinetic Development Group

    IMGP3791

Kinetic Development Groups “Scarging Handle”. The Scarging Handle is ambidextrous.

    IMGP3795

FN SCAR 17/SCAR Heavy with Kinetic Development Groups SCAR MREX Rail. Note the M-LOK rails.

In my opinion the most innovative products from Kinetic Development Group were the KINECT M-LOK mounts. These mounts attach by squeezing the ends of the mount. Once on a rail, there was absolutely no movement. Perfect for quickly attaching accessories.

    IMGP3793

KINECT M-LOK mount. These mounts are attached by squeezing the tabs at the end of the rail. Very secure fit.

    IMGP3792

SIDELOK Optic Mount. These mounts attach by a patented cam system that locks the mount to the rail. The cam system negates the need for tools, levers or knobs. There was absolutely no wiggle. The cam system is activated by pushing the release button. In this picture the release button is under the front lens of the pictured Aimpoint sight.

Kinetic Development Group has some very innovative products. Up until SHOT, I was not aware that Kinetic Development Group was making optic mounts as well as M-LOK rails. What Kinetic Development Group is doing with the M-LOK system is pretty neat. I look forward to seeing what this company does in the future.
