Yes, yes, yes, I know. Tactical is probably the most overused word in the gun industry. But it sells. That said, there is a current proliferation of home concealment options for your toys, and they do provide you a tactical advantage in some cases.
A Lamp?
TacticalWalls has added a new option to their growing lineup of everyday home decor items that conceal weapons–a lamp. The “Tactical Lamp” is a fully functional lamp that features a hidden storage compartment inside its wooden body. The hidden compartment is accessed by removing a detachable side panel from the base of the lamp. The detachable side panel is kept in place by magnetized placeholders.
Inside the compartment is a layer of loop-sided fastener to allow the use of a variety of mounting options. Behind the loop-sided fastener they have even added a strong magnet that should allow you to adhere the gun (or knife, or whatever) to the rear wall.
The exterior dimensions of the lamp base are 11.5″H x 9″W x 7.25″D. The interior dimensions of the storage compartment are 9″H x 6″W x 4″D. It is actually a bit smaller than I thought before I watched the video. It comes in three different finishes: Dutch Walnut, Black and Cherry.
All of their products are US made with US sourced materials. MSRPs range from $119 to $129 for a single unit and $179 to $199 for a set of two; the price difference is whether or not you get the optional lampshade. There is a decent price break on ordering two units.
