TFB Podcast Roundup 23: Some Long-Range Accuracy Listening

TFB Podcast Roundup 51: Something for Everyone

TFB Podcast Roundup 60: Weaponized Math and Aftermarket Parts

Welcome to TFB Podcast Roundup 23. Long-range shooting has become one of my favorite styles recently and while it has certainly put a strain on my checkbook in terms of gear and equipment, I think the number of practical lessons those sports can teach you translates really well to other types of shooting disciplines. I’ve gathered a few recent podcasts from across the net that has to do with long-range shooting. These podcasts will cover everything from hunting tips, wind calls, tips for F-class competitors and I’ve also thrown in an episode of our home-brewed podcast, the TFB B-Side Podcast, where I talk to the designer/inventor of the 11/22 OpenTop Receiver Sebastian Unger who is a fellow rimfire junkie as well as a precision addict. Sit back, relax, crack open some fresh eggnog and enjoy these shows.

TFB B-Side Podcast: A Conversation with an Austrian Firearms Enthusiast

    Length: 58 Minutes

Subjects: Sebastian Unger and I talk about the development of the OpenTop 11/22 receiver, and Austrian firearms laws.

Today on the TFB B-Side podcast we have Sebasitan Unger. Sebastian is from the country of Austria which is famous for the production of James Reeves’ favorite firearms (Glock), as well as a few other legendary firearms companies like Steyr arms. Sebastian is most well known on TFB for being the designer of the OpenTop 11/22 receiver for the 10/22 platform. Sebastian, while not a trained firearms engineer, has brought to market a unique and useful firearms receiver that adds a lot of convenience and function to a platform that has been around for well over half a century. Today on the podcast I talk with Sebastian a bit about Austrian firearms law, the spark that created the idea for the OpenTop 11/22, and of course some of Sebastian’s favorite firearms and the like.
