Welcome to TFB Podcast Roundup 18! As we get in closer to the holidays including Thanksgiving and Christmas, people will inevitably start taking more time off of work which means less commuting and by extension, less listening to podcasts. This week I’ve tried to bring you episodes that mostly fall under an hour in listening time. So if you’re outside dressing a deer, taking care of any last-minute fall lawn work, or just sitting in your shop reloading, these episodes should keep you entertained for a short time while you start to settle into your winter routine. This week we’ve got episodes from our friends over at IV8888, Vortex Nation, and of course last week’s TFB podcast episode. Happy listening and happy early holidays everyone!

Gun Gripes #313: “Vetting Your Equipment”
Length: 36 Minutes
Subjects: Eric and Chad discuss the topic of making sure your equipment is up to scratch – are you sure?
This episode from Eric and Chad of IV8888 features a topic that I have had to fight many people on over the years when it comes to guns, and equipment – even medical equipment. In this episode, Eric and Chad talk about how far too many people simply take the advertised specifications or capabilities of their equipment and fail to properly verify that their gear is doing or capable of doing what it should. Personally, I would take it a step further and say that you should be constantly vetting your equipment as things degrade over time, and rifles pistols and shotguns can have day-to-day variances in how they behave depending on a variety of conditions. This is a great episode to show the “just as good” crowd if they can stomach it.

This is a great episode for new or inexperienced hunters as well as a good refresher for you seasoned hunting veterans out there.
The Turkey Hunter Podcast 366 – An Outrageous Turkey Hunt
Length: 41 Minutes
Subjets: Host Andy Gagliano talks about one of his most recent turkey hunts and provides some helpful advice and insight for fellow turkey hunters
An Outrageous Turkey Hunt
This week Andy shares one of his spring hunts with us. The day this hunt took place the weather was horrible. The wind was howling, and the temperature was just above freezing.
Once the turkey hunt heated up, the cold went away. And the turkey that Andy’s hunting partner, Chip, killed tried to climb into their laps. Chip basically had to kill this turkey in self defense.
