Wilson Combat have introduced the second generation of their EDC X9 9mm pistols. The new Wilson Combat EDC X9 2.0 family of pistols consists of a 4″ barreled model, a 5″ one called EDC X9L 2.0 and the 3.25″ barreled EDC X9 2.0 Subcompact. The two main changes over the first-generation pistols are the new X-Frame aluminum frame and the 1911-style grip panels.

    I loved the original Wilson EDC X9s design and appearance, and kind of hate this.

    Just another instance of dumb people winning the design board argument. The originals looked clean and intentional, this just looks like hamfisted garbage forced onto the SFX all-metal grip/frames. "Yes, the reason people like 1911s is because of the flathead screws."

    The grip panels falling off during take down of the grip was mildly inconvenient but it's not like anything in the frame is what people need access to regularly anyway. It was probably just too expensive/time consuming to match the grip panels to the frame and backstrap, so this makes that process easier... still disgusting, imo.

      @Action45 Me too, the grip looks much better on the first version. And the graphics on the side of the slide here make me want to puke.
