At the SHOT 2024, Recover Tactical revealed its new product lineup, including the 12-inch P-IX+ PFA, joining the already available 16-inch model. These additions are poised to attract the Glock aficionados seeking to extend their Glock’s barrel for an enhanced shooting experience.

Recover Tactical, notably, is not just extending the Glock barrel; they’re offering a complete transformation by providing a carbine-like chassis wherein your Glock fits seamlessly. The product incorporates a longer barrel from IGB in Austria and a clamshell chassis.

The 16-inch P-IX+ PFA platform, previously displayed at SHOT, is not considered an SBR (Short-Barreled Rifle); however, the just-unveiled 12-inch version does fall into the SBR category. This differentiation is important for legal classification and possession. The 12-inch version is not available on the Recover Tactical website for sale yet, implying that enthusiasts will have to stay tuned for release information.

As for the 16-inch kit, it comes with a price tag of $500. Along with the Austrian-made barrel and clamshell chassis, the kit contains a metal front guard, stock, a BTP buffer tube, a front shroud adapter, a 1/2×28-thread flash suppressor, a forward mag pouch, and flip-up sights. The entirety of these elements together proposes not just an extended barrel but a full transformation of the Glock into a more versatile firearm.

In an exciting development, Recover Tactical also shared that it is developing a folding stock for its chassis. This future addition would fit via an adapter, further enhancing user convenience and portability. This signal of ongoing innovation underlines the brand’s commitment to constantly improve and evolve their offering to meet the ever-changing demographical needs of the shooting industry.
