[SHOT 2024] Winchester Arms Debuts New Models
At SHOT Show 2024, Winchester Arms has introduced two new models to their firearm lineup: the Winchester Ranger, a lever-action rimfire rifle chambered in .22LR, and a new range of SX4 Defender shotguns, designed for the tactical market. Both models carry the Winchester legacy forward with features catering to specific applications in shooting.
Winchester Ranger
Winchester ensures durability and lightweight balance by constructing the Ranger with an aluminum receiver, complemented by a hard anodized finish. Users can expect enduring longevity, even with extensive use. The trigger, hammer, and lever are crafted from steel, enhancing the rifle’s overall performance and resilience. An added feature that stands out is the firing pin design, suitable for dry firing, offering ample opportunities for training purposes, especially beneficial for young or new shooters.
Product Specs:
- Caliber: .22LR only
- Barrel length: 20.5 inches
- Capacity: 15 rounds
- Weight: 5 pounds 4 ounces
- Optics Mounting: 3/8″ Dovetail
The company anticipates that the Ranger will be available to dealers starting in the second quarter of the year, with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $419.99.
SX4 Defender Shotguns
Expanding into the tactical segment, Winchester introduces the SX4 Defender shotgun series. The shotguns come in two variant finishes, Flat Dark Earth (FDE) and camouflage, broadening the appeal for different tactical preferences.
The tubular magazine capacity accommodates 4 shells at 2 3/4″ length, and all models are constructed with a 3″ chamber. The Defender shotguns are priced based on the stock option: a standard stock variant at an MSRP of $1,189 and a model equipped with a pistol grip stock at $1,299.
Winchester’s new offerings in both the rimfire rifle category with the Ranger and the tactical shotgun market with the SX4 Defender series represent an extension of their well-established firearm portfolio, continuing to offer versatility and innovation in their respective fields.
