[SHOT 2024] Umerex Unveils Their FISHR Bow Fishing Airgun – An Arrow Rifle

At the 2024 SHOT Show Umarex unveiled its latest offering to the specialized sport of bowfishing – the FISHR Bow Fishing Airgun, also referred to as an Arrow Rifle. Umarex, which already made a mark in the market with its innovative air guns like the Umarex AirSaber Arrow Rifle, has created a buzz with its new water game equipment.

[SHOT 2024] Umerex Unveils Their FISHR Bow Fishing Airgun – An Arrow Rifle

The FISHR Bow Fishing Airgun is capable of taking 65 full shots on a single fill tank. What makes it ideal for bow fishing is that its parts are resistant to saltwater, guarding it against rusting and other water-related damages. The FISHR also has a built-in line puller, an ambidextrous bolt design, and it comes with a fiberglass fishing arrow.

The FISHR also features an AR-15 receiver extension and stock. With this, enthusiasts can always consider aftermarket stocks as a customizable option. This statement was confirmed by the representative from Umarex at the industry range day, who mentioned, “Aside from a new break action pellet gun our new arrow rifle really steals the show. It’s optics ready and has a bunch of MLOK slots. The buttstock runs on a typical AR-15 buffer tube style system so aftermarket stocks are always an option.”

The FISHR, clearly, is another step in the innovative journey Umarex embarked on with the AirSaber Arrow Rifle, loaded with an air charging system and the option to attach a scope. It also continued to showcase Umarex’s commitment to providing hunters with lethal, efficient and practical hunting arms.

The step from Umarex will certainly make waves among bowfishing fanatics, and consolidate Umarex’s position as an innovative and popular manufacturer of airsoft pistols, rifles, air guns, and paintball guns. It’s safe to say that Umarex continues to hit the target with its remarkable products.

I need a fishing reel attachment for my AR15 so while I'm in Florida, I can open carry my long gun.

How long until someone makes Far Cry style arrows with incendiary or explosive tips?

It's going to be goofy, inaccurate, possibly illegal, and definitely unsafe. And that's precisely why someone will do it.
