Firearms manufacturer GLOCK, Inc., has announced an expansion to their Gen5 product line, introducing the G29 Gen5 chambered in 10mm and the G30 Gen5 chambered in .45 AUTO. This latest development is part of GLOCK’s ongoing process to innovate and respond to customer demands across the globe. The GLOCK Performance Trigger is also now compatible with Gen4 pistols. The new GLOCK G29 Gen5 and GLOCK G30 Gen5 pistols are now available for order through authorized dealers and distributors.

[SHOT 2024] NEW GLOCK G29, G30 Gen5 And GLOCK Performance Trigger Compatibility

Leveraging over twenty design changes from their Gen4 predecessors, the G29 Gen5 is a compact pistol, ideal for concealed carry while offering the potent force of the 10mm AUTO cartridge. The G30 Gen5, chambered in the .45 AUTO cartridge, promises exceptional accuracy and power straight out of the box.

Key enhancements in these models include the GLOCK Marksman Barrel (GMB) for improved accuracy, featuring enhanced polygonal rifling and an optimized barrel crown. The design alterations also involve the removal of finger grooves and the addition of an ambidextrous slide stop lever, contributing to increased control and ease of use for both left and right-handed shooters.

In parallel to the new pistol enhancements, GLOCK has upgraded the GLOCK Performance Trigger (introduced at SHOT 2023) to be compatible with an expanded range of models, now including the Gen4 pistols. The new GLOCK Performance Trigger, announced with the 2024 release, also ships with a Gen5 slide cover plate, which is used to replace the plate on Gen4 models for proper functionality. The models compatible with this trigger upgrade include G26, G19, G17, and G34 across both Gen4 and Gen5 platforms, as well as the G19X, G45, and G47.
