American AKceptionalism: The Gen 5 PSAK-47
In this episode of TFBTV, Hop takes a look at the top-tier variant of the PSAK-47. The GF5 is the fifth generation of Palmetto State Armory’s PSAK rifle and adds more features on top of the GF3 and GF4, including a cold hammer forged barrel made specially for PSA by FN. Can an American company make an AK that competes with Combloc imports? Can the AK platform survive the cost increase of x39 ammo? Can we justify the existence of boutique AKs? Who knows!

AK's were the working mans rifle when China was allowed to import to the US..Ammo was cheaper than 22LR when at its height of AK/ammunition importation from China.. I like to compare them to the older Chevy 4X4 1 tons we use to own for our logging and forest road construction.. Nothing special, but were tough as nails, took a lot of abuse and were a good value.. I'm an AR guy who loves to build custom AR's, that makes most of the so called top tier AR's (what ever that is) look cheap, but there is nothing wrong with a well built AK that is used as a pack gun in all weather climates,etc.. AK's are simple, tough, rugged, dependable and accurate for the range they were intended to be used in..Like those old Chevy 4X4's that are now being reconditioned and sold, they are over priced and better for collections than it is for their practicality and value....
Interesting rifles .As Hop said there should be an upper limit on the AK pricing.Who knew there was a 3k$ AK?I am shocked.Hop please make a video about the Ruger SFAR 6.5Creedmoor soon.Thank you man.
