Magpul Releases MS1 Lite Sling

    Magpul Releases MS1 Lite Sling

Magpul has yet another entry in their lineup of slings. This new model is the MS1 Lite. It is aptly named, as it takes the proven MS1 sling and slims it down to a much smaller and lighter package. Let’s see what it brings to the table.

    Magpul @ TFB:

Like the original MS1, the MS1 Lite is a two-point sling. It also features a rapid adjust slider to lengthen or shorten the sling as the situation dictates. Unlike some Magpul slings, no QD swivels are included. However, you can add your own, or thread the sling through fixed sling loops. Magpul cut down on the weight and bulk by switching to 1-inch webbing instead of the standard 1.25-inch, and by scaling down the hardware to match. The webbing is also “single ply” and Magpul claims it is an anti-chafe design.

The retail price is $39.95, and it is available in black, ranger green, or coyote. All three colors have black hardware. The MS1 Lite is available now from Magpul and is starting to show up at online retailers.

    From the manufacturer:

The MS1 Lite Sling is a compact version of the versatile MS1 rifle sling. We created a custom woven 1” wide single-ply webbing to drastically reduce extra bulk and offer a high-strength, streamlined sling that avoids snagging. The custom weave resists rolling and twisting, keeping the MS1 Lite consistently comfortable while maintaining the no-pill and anti-chafe characteristics that Magpul slings are known for. The smaller size also allows for easier stowage in tight, snag-prone areas such as cases, racks, and weapon safes.
