KPYK RPK Handguard and Stock
Despite the ongoing war or maybe because of it, the Ukrainian KPYK keeps releasing new firearm accessories at an impressive frequency. Earlier we reviewed their CRC 1U004 handguard and CRC 5002 stock designed for AKM/AK-74 pattern rifles. The company recently introduced the versions of these products designed for Kalashnikov’s light machine gun, RPK/RPK74. Let’s take a quick look at the specs and features of these new KPYK RPK parts.
KPYK @ TFB:
The KPYK RPK handguard is made of aluminum and consists of upper and lower parts. The upper section has an interrupted top Picatinny rail and M-LOK slots on the sides. The lower handguard features M-LOK slots at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions. The KPYK RPK handguard assembly is a drop-in product, however, when installed, it will make it impossible to completely fold and secure the standard RPK bipod. The overall length of this handguard is 362mm (14 1/4″).
KPYK RPK stock is machined out of aluminum and is fitted with a polymer cheekpiece and rubber buttpad. This is a folding and telescoping stock that has an overall length of 17.5cm (6.9″) when fully collapsed and 22cm (8.7″) when fully extended. The cheekpiece height is quick adjustable with four positions and a maximum height of 2cm (0.79″). The height of the buttplate can be adjusted as well. The overall weight of the KPYK RPK stock is 510 grams (18 oz).
The prices of the KPYK RPK handguard and stock are roughly $250 and $330 respectively when converted from Ukrainian hryvnia. Both of these products will be initially available in Armor Black Cerakote color, but black anodized as well as OD Green and Coyote Tan Cerakote color options will be added soon. The US distributor of KPYK products is Legion USA. The company also recently announced the opening of their US branch, KPYK USA.

looks like solid construction for sure, but the entire kit looks like it'll add a fair amount of heft
They allow for mounting non-oem bipod closer to the center of mass, thus reducing the perceived weight in front.
