    Sightron has a new low-power variable optic in their S-Tac lineup. The new 1-6×24 IR AR1 is a second focal plane scope with a 30mm main tube. It also features an illuminated reticle.

    The S-Tac 1-6×24 has a bullet drop compensating reticle. It is calibrated for commonly-available 5.56 NATO ammunition out to 600 yards. In addition to drop marks, the IR AR1 reticle has wind holds at 5 miles per hour and 10 miles per hour at each range. The reticle is also illuminated and has 11 brightness settings.

    Moving on from the reticle design, a magnification throw lever is included. It is also removable. Caps protect the turrets, and they are resettable to zero. Sightron’s website shows the S-Tac 1-6×24 in stock, at a retail price of $499.99. You can check it out here.
