POTD: Slovakian 22nd Mechanized Infantry Battalion

Slovak Soldiers - Slovakian 22nd Mechanized Infantry Battalion

The goal of TFB’s Photo Of The Day is to give your eyes something worth watching, and your brain something to think about every day. Over the years we have shown firearms and soldiers from North to South, East to West in almost any imaginable situation and climate. Above you see Slovak soldiers assigned to the Slovakian 22nd Mechanized Infantry Battalion patrol during Exercise Combined Resolve 18 at Hohenfels Training Area, Joint Multinational Readiness Center, Germany, May 11, 2023.

The carbine is a vz. 58, the standard service assault rifle of the Slovak Armed Forces, being replaced by the CZ Bren. Below, an SVD.

Combined Resolve 18 is a U.S. Army exercise, consisting of over 4,000 service members, allies, and partners from 15 countries, and is designed to assess units’ abilities to conduct combat operations effectively in a multi-domain battlespace.

Who knows what we’ll show tomorrow? It’s all hidden in darkness, but it will be worth your time so please check back on a regular basis.
