15.9oz, 38+p.
If it had been .357 rated I would have been interested / it would have been a S&W 340 / LCR competitor.

  @Mark That sounds quite appealing to me, actually. I’m not shooting .357 out of an alloy revolver, and if this is anything like the K6S in quality, it will be an improvement over my SW 442 that is also chambered in .38 +p, and hurts to shoot.

  @Andrew The Hogue Monogrip on the Kimber makes a lot of difference in shooting comfort. The J-frame's boot grips leave the backstrap uncovered, and getting slapped in the paw with a strip of steel is very unsettling. When I carried J-frames for a living I replaced the factory stocks with Pachmayr Compacs for the .38s, and Hogue Monogrips for the .357s. The little bit of padding you get from the rubber-covered backstrap makes a world of difference. (Well, maybe not a world, but at least a continent or two.) I don't know whether to laugh or cry when I see reviewers who regularly replace half the parts on a 1911 or a Glock complain about the recoil of a revolver, when it can be fixed with 30 bucks and a screwdriver.

  @retfed I’ve always wondered why they do it that way. Makes no sense. I had a Ruger that was like that, too. The rubber grips were even advertised to help with recoil, yet didn’t cover the backstraps. I’ve been meaning to just get wood grips for my 442 to spread that recoil out.

I like the idea, but they failed in keeping the K6S aesthetics. I love my K6S because it looks like a revolver that would have been made during the Art Deco movement. This version loses all of the nice clean lines the original has.
