About two weeks ago at IWA 2023, CZ came to the show with a brand new firearm perfect for not just the European market, but one that I think would do quite well in the American market! The new CZ Scorpion EVO 3 S1 is chambered in 22LR and will come complete with a folding stock, 16″ threaded barrel, and mostly ambidextrous controls.

CZ Announces The New Scorpion EVO 3 S1 Chambered in 22LR

The CZ portfolio has been further extended in 2023 with the 22 LR caliber CZ SCORPION EVO 3 S1 and CZ SCORPION EVO 3 S1 CARBINE models. These two new additions to the internationally popular family of semi-automatic firearms in the Pistol Calib4er Carbine category retain all of the main benefits found in the CZ SCORPION EVO 3 series, plus the added advantages of minimal recoil, partially reduced weight, and virtually zero bore wear. With these firearms, experienced shooters can fully concentrate on achieving the most accurate shots possible, while beginners can more quickly and easily learn how to handle them properly.

A semi-automatic rifle chambered for pistol cartridges. Its simple design, extreme reliability, light weight, easy handling and accuracy make it the perfect fit for modern shooting sports and hobby shooting.

In addition to the 16″ variant, there will be a version with a shorter 8″ barrel which is often not an issue for European countries. Both variants will of course feature a CZ fiberglass-reinforced polymer frame, a standard magazine capacity of 10 rounds with larger capacity magazines on the way, an M18x1 threaded barrel, folding adjustable stock, and adjustable iron sights. According to several interviews from IWA 2023, The Scorpion EVO 3 S1 22LR will be compatible with most aftermarket parts that the 9mm versions are compatible with making this a great platform for users to adopt as a more affordable training platform or perhaps even 22LR competition.

While no announcements have been made yet to bring the new 22LR version of the EVO 3 to the United States market, the European market can expect to start seeing these on shelves soon.
