    POTD: M110 and M2010 Sniper Rifles in Eastern Europe

    As usual, we have selected some pictures for you today. By this time you know it, it’s TFB’s Photo Of The Day to keep you in a good mood. Get a coffee, or some water, take a break and enjoy a few minutes off whatever you were doing and take a look at U.S. soldiers assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division. They’re using their M110 semi-automatic sniper systems as part of the zeroing step before the Defender 2022 exercise at Oberlausitz Training Area, Germany. This happened in April 2022.

    Defender Europe 22 is a series of U.S. Army Europe and Africa multinational training exercises in Eastern Europe. The exercise demonstrates U.S. Army Europe and Africa’s ability to conduct large-scale ground combat operations across multiple theaters in support of NATO.

    Below: U.S. Army Pvt. Davin Pica, a cavalry scout, and Spc. Víctor Benavides, an infantryman, both assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, fire an M2010 Enhanced Sniper Rifle.
