ODIN Works Enhanced Series 9mm Bolt Carrier Group

Released a little less than a month ago, at SHOT week, is the new Enhanced Series 9mm Bolt Carrier Group by ODIN Works. I think it would be more correct to call this part a bolt rather than a bolt carrier group because there is no bolt carrier per se, however, I’ll stick to the manufacturer product name in the article. Enough nitpicking, let’s see what features the new ODIN Works Enhanced Series 9mm Bolt Carrier Group packs.

    ODIN Works @ TFB:

Introducing our new ODIN Works Enhanced Series, 9mm bolt carrier group. Innovative and unlike anything in the industry, this feature packed bolt carrier group is the new standard.

ODIN Works Enhanced Series 9mm Bolt Carrier Group is machined out of 416 stainless steel and is heat treated. The company notes that no part on the carrier is MIM (metal injection molding). It is available in bare stainless steel or black Cerakote Micro Slick coating. Instead of using an M16 type extractor, ODIN works has designed a new one. For ease of disassembly and maintenance, the firing pin is retained via an Allen head screw as opposed to a roll pin retention. The alignment key on top has been replaced with a pair of roll pinned screws made of heat treated 17-4 stainless steel. The ODIN Works Enhanced Series 9mm Bolt Carrier Group is compatible with both Glock and Colt magazines.
