In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves is at the Desert Tech booth to see the new Quattro-15. The Quattro-15 lower receiver accepts the Quadmag-53, Desert Tech’s 53 round magazine and standard AR pattern mags. The Quattro-15 lower receiver is drop in capable will all standard AR-15 upper receivers.

Here's my takes about coffin mags.
It's way better than any drum mag. But, with the AR, it either has a ridiculous long neck like Surefire or Schmeisser, or it needs a proprietary lower like this one, that needs an adaptor to use regular double-stack sticks.
Seeing that this Quattro magazine still has the same double nested follower, I think a far better solution is to make a shallower height but standard width STANAG compatible magazine well, and have a short-neck like we have on AK coffin mags. THEN, we can use regular mags without adaptors too. All that's needed is a modified machining on the lower's magazine tower
