B&T unveiled a massive new lineup of silencers and a new 9mm sub-gun at SHOT Show 2022. On display were silencers that ranged from rimfire to belt-fed rated, as well as the new SPC9 chambered in 9mm. Here’s a full guide to what’s new and coming very soon from B&T.
[SHOT 2022] B&T Unveils Massive New Lineup of Guns and Suppressors
RBS QDR
Designed to have the lowest backpressure possible the RBS (Reduced Backpressure System) silencer is built for heavy use. Using a specialty-designed blast chamber, the RBS is designed to minimize as much backpressure as possible for hosts including (but not limited to) the FN 249, M240B, or FN SCAR.
The RBS uses both Inconel and Stainless steel parts with three different mounting options. The silencer comes in a direct thread version and two additional QD versions that mount to either a Mil-Spec A2 flash hider or a QD SureFire SOCOM muzzle device. The RBS comes in both 5.56 and 7.62 with an MSRP of $950 and will be available in Q2 of this year.
SQD 9mm
One of the most exciting and innovative silencers unveiled was the new SQD 9mm suppressor.
The SQD is designed specifically for use on any three-lug-equipped 9mm pistol or rifle.
To install the SQD you simply align the top of the locking collar and push the suppressor down. The locking tab at the rear clicks up, and that’s it. No more having to push down and twist in order to lock the silencer in place.
When you’re ready to remove the suppressor, simply press the button atop the locking collar and slide the silencer off. This is hands down the most elegant three-lug mounting solution I’ve ever seen. To top it off, the SQD will have an MSRP of $650, making it an excellent competitor in the three-lug market.
Impuls-OLS
Also showcased were the new Impuls-OLS Standard and Compact 9mm silencers. These two pistol silencers will feature mounts for both 13.51LH and 1/2×28 threaded handguns. MSRP on the Impuls-OLS is $675 and both silencers are slated for release in Q2 of this year.
Rotex-X Compact
Another new addition to the lineup is the smaller Rotex-X Compact suppressor for 5.56 rifles. This uses the same materials as the RBS and the Rotex-X mounts directly to any existing A2 birdcage style flash hider. This compact 5.56 can comes with a very low price tag of just $675 and will be released in Q2 of this year.
HP22
B&T certainly hasn’t forgotten the rimfire market and was keen to show off the new HP22 silencer as well. The HP 22 uses industry-standard 1/2×28 threads and is user-serviceable for cleaning. MSRP on the HP 22 is just $265 and is also slated for release in Q2 of this year.
RBS AK
Certainly the last thing I expected to see from B&T was an AK pattern silencer, but they’ve made one specifically for the Kalashnikov USA KR-103.
The RBS 7.62 AK mounts directly to the KR-103’s M24x1.25 RH threads and is secured by a locking collar at the rear.
The fixed mount paired with the durability and low backpressure of the RBS system should make for a winning combination that I’m eager to try out. The RBS 7.62 AK is also slated to be released in Q2 of this year and has an MSRP of $950.
APC9-SD PRO
Expanding on the already successful APC lineup is the new APC9-SD PRO. This new model features an included suppressor tucked underneath an oversized MLOK handguard for accessory attachment,
The APC9-SD Pro comes in two models to accomdiate either Glock or B&T pattern magazines. MSRP on the APC9-SD Pro is set at $3,147 and is expected to be released later this year.
SPC9
Last, but very certainly not least, was the unveiling of the new SPC9 sub-gun. This hybrid design comes with various stock options with lower receivers that accommodate both B&T as well Glock pattern magazines.
The polymer lower on the SPC 9mm is completely ambidextrous with easy-to-use oversized controls.
The SPC9 uses a very slick hydraulic buffer system housed in the rear of the receiver. Also at the rear of the receiver is a very familiar AR Esque charging handle.
In addition to the charging handle at the rear, there’s also a non-reciprocating charging handle above the barrel that gives the SPC9 a very classic sub-gun feel.
The SPC9 will come in a variety of different barrel lengths and configurations with MSRP’s starting at $2,421. I look forward to seeing these come to market and they were very smooth shooting. A special thank you to Chris M. from B&T and their booth staff for their time and help with this article.

Wow on that MSRP of $650.
The SQD attachment sounds just like Griffin Armament's M4SD mounting. I love the idea of the mil-spec A2 clip on style, especially when I prefer the trusty 'jack of all trades, master of none" A2 birdcage for .233/5.56. But all these mounting thread sizes sound like you'll spend an extra hundred bucks or two for adapters, which puts the price in line with other proven suppressors.
