The Ukrainian company KPYK is specialized in developing parts and accessories for upgrading com bloc firearms. We’ve previously reported about many of their product releases and reviewed some of them (see the links below). Today we’ll take a look at one of their latest products, the KPYK CRC 5002 adjustable aluminum AK stock.

The KPYK CRC 5002 stock is a drop-in part compatible with fixed-stock stamped or milled AK receivers. The main parts of the stock are machined of billet aluminum and feature a Cerakote finish with three color options: Armor Black, OD Green, and Coyote Tan. The butt pad and cheekpiece are made of polymer. This stock is available in fixed or left-side folding configurations. The company notes that at an overall weight of 391 grams (13.8 oz), the fixed version of the stock is only 65 grams (2.3 oz) heavier than the standard polymer AK-74 stock. The side folder is a bit heavier – 510 grams (18 oz).
The overall length of the KPYK CRC 5002 stock can be adjusted from 175mm to 220mm (6.9″ – 8.7″). The cheekpiece is hinged at the rear and its height is adjusted by elevating its front end. It has four height settings with maximal height over the stock being 20 mm (.787″). The height of the butt pad can also be adjusted by 30 mm (1.18″) up or down from its central position. This stock also features options for attaching both standard AK slings and QD sling swivels.
KRYK CRC 5002 stocks are listed on the company’s website at an MSRP of $236 and $286 for fixed and folding versions respectively. Currently, only the stamped receiver compatible stocks are available but the milled receiver options will be added soon. The exclusive distributor of KPYK products in the USA is Legion USA who currently have these stocks in stock (no pun intended) for $299 and $359.
