A few months back we covered the introduction of a new billet aluminum grip module for the SIG Sauer P365 pistol from Mischief Machine. The module has gone through several refinements over the last couple of months and the guys over at Mischief Machine are finally ready to start taking orders as they build up their inventory for a full release. As part of the refinement process, the Alpha Series P365XL grip module is now available in versions with or without a grip safety and also features the Mischief Machine logo CNC engraved onto the side of the grip module.

As part of the fall festivities in timing with the release of the Alpha Series grip modules, Mischief Machine is also offering a 10% discount for customers using code FUGINPUNKINS. So far my experiences with this new refined grip module have been very pleasant and Joe (owner of Mischief Machine) has really put in a lot of hard work to make this a true upgrade to the P365 platform rather than just window dressing (although it looks cool too). The grip area now features a much more comfortable chamfer making it less painful to shoot defensive ammunition with. In addition, the Alpha Series also features a more radiused beavertail for better carry comfort, and of course a beveled and flared magwell for more convenient reloads.
Other improvements include one that I made myself after experimenting with the prototype – the slide lock/release has been trimmed down a bit to make it slightly easier to lock back the slide manually. The front of the grip module has now been modified to match the bevel of the P365 slide and the recoil lug now is made of 4140 steel with QPQ Black Melonite coating, and is fastened to the grip module using alloy steel screws and thread locker. At the time of writing, Joe and Mischief Machine are accepting pre-orders for the Alpha Series P365XL Grip Module and customers can expect to pay $349.00 for the grip module, and in-stock units ship immediately. According to Joe, the new Omega series grip module is on the way soon so stay tuned here at TFB for when that comes out!
