Welcome to TFB Weekly Amazon Deals 9: Essential Gear Edition. This week I’ve gathered a handful of items that I consider to be “essential” when it comes to shooting or everyday carry duty. We’re lucky enough to have an absolutely staggering amount of high-quality products available to us in the gun industry but it’s always nice to have those things when we also get a bit of a discount (especially during these trying days). This week we’ve got a few lights, a knife, hearing protection, and even some sight-in targets. Are these the only things you’ll be needing at the range? No. However, I find myself using these items more often than not and every item on this list is something I more or less carry with me to the range every time,. Everything else just depends on what kind of shooting I plan on doing for the day.

While I love powered hearing protection that has active noise cancellation, sometimes it pays just to have a reliable and solid pair of hearing protection stuffed inside the truck for when you forget yours or your batteries happen to die on your powered pair. I tend to keep a pair or two of the spare eye and ear protection in my truck with me for those that don’t have a pair. Birchwood Casey Shoot-N-C 8-Inch Sight-In Targets

The Shoot-N-C series of targets are some of my favorites for a couple of reasons. First, they are relatively inexpensive for this style of the target but they also feature consistent 1″ grid lines which make 100-yard sight ins very easy and repeatable when mounting a new optic. Right now you can get a 15-pack of these targets for just $7.19 (normal price $12.70) which makes them even cheaper than some of the big box sporting goods stores.

Streamlight 69265 TLR-2 1000

Streamlight has some of the best and most affordable weapon-mounted lights on the market so when they go on sale it is always a good time. If you’re looking for something a bit more powerful than a standard TLR-1 then the TLR-2 1000 is currently a good option as it also includes a green laser that is mounted underneath the light itself. The Streamlight 69265 TLR-2 1000 is currently on sale for about $40 off at just $310.44 (normal list price $351.86). The TLR-2 is powered by a CR123A battery and has a stated battery life of 1.5 hours for the flashlight and 17-hours with the laser only. The light output is rated at 1,000 lumens and 20,000-candela peak beam intensity.

Gerber Air Ranger Knife – Fine Edge

I’m slowly but surely exercising out all of the partially serrated blades from my knife collection and right now Gerber has one of their better EDC/pocket knives for sale  – the Air Ranger Knife. The Air Ranger Knife features a 3.26-inch 7Cr17MoV blade, a G-10 handle and weighs in at only 2.6 ounces. Normally priced at $38.00. you can currently pick up the Air Ranger knife for $30.31 which is currently the second lowest it has been priced all month. I keep knives in all of my range bags as well as nearly every drawer in my house and every compartment in my truck – I might have a slight addiction.

Trijicon Night Sight Sets for Glock Pistols

Trijicon released their new DI Night Sights earlier this year but they still have some of their older designs available and they also happen to be on sale right now. The GL101Y HD Night Sights feature a black finish with a bright yellow front sight outline and blacked-out rears that have tritium inserts for better indexing during low-light shooting. The rear sight is a U-Notch design which also helps with sight alignment giving the round yellow lamp a nice place to sit when lining up a shot. the GL101Y HD Night Sights from Trijicon are currently on sale for $119.93 which is just over $40 less than the set normally retails for.
