POTD: Sako 85 Carbon Light

    Sako 85 Carbon Light

TFB’s Photo Of The Day is where you can discover the World of firearms. Every day we run a new theme, selected pictures with a short story. The setup and the pictures in today’s POTD are from a company called LongRange. The base rifle is a Sako 85 Carbon Light which weighs only 2.4 kilograms (5.3 lbs). The barrel is a Blahut Custom in .308 Win. The riflescope is a Leica Fortis 2,5-15×56 ASV attached to a Near Picatinny mount.

    There’s no suppressor – yet.

    Near Picatinny mount.

    Custom barrel with 1:11″ twist.

    The tripod is from Manfrotto.

I’m a big fan of composites like carbon fiber, both for looks and their low weight.
