Bushnell has updated their Elite Tactical riflescope lineup with new versions of the XRS and DMR optics, the XRS3 and DMR3. Though Bushnell is known for being a budget-oriented brand, their Elite Tactical line includes full-featured scopes that compete with many of the big-name long-range optics.

Both the XRS3 and DMR3 come equipped with many of the features considered standard on modern long-range optics, such as first focal plane reticles, zero stops, 0.1 MRAD turrets, and side parallax adjustment. Bushnell’s throw lever system, the “Throwhammer,” is included on both models, and can be moved between positions based on user preference.

The new scopes both feature the G4P reticle, designed in conjunction with G.A. Precision. It has a  combination of hash marks and dots for drop and wind holds.

Both scopes have a 6x zoom ratio (the maximum zoom divided by 6 is the minimum zoom), which gives a wider range of magnification than more typical scopes with 4x (e.g. 6-24x) or 5x (e.g. 5-25x) zoom ratios. The DMR3 has a 3.5-21x zoom range, and the XRS3 has a 6-36x range. It is worth noting that neither scope is illuminated, though that may be an option in future models.

There are only a few differences between the scopes, such as length (13.2 inches for the DMR3, 14.8 inches for the XRS3), objective lens diameter (50mm for the DMR3, 56mm for the XRS3), weight (35.5 ounces for the DMR3, 38.9 ounces for the XRS3), and minimum parallax adjustment range (25 yards for the DMR3, 50 yards for the XRS3)..

Bushnell lists the DMR3 and XRS3 as “Coming Soon” on their website, where you can also see the full specifications.
