At SHOT Show 2020 Recover Tactical debuted their 20/20 Glock Stabilizer Kit and Holster for 9mm and .40S&W Glock models with a rail. These kits are really easy to install, they deploy quickly, and they’re affordable. The 20/20 Stabilizers for the Glock start out at just $99.95. They’ve since released their MG9 Angled Grip and Glock Mag Holders and optics mounts to go along with the 20/20 Stabilizers.

They’re also working on their 20/21 Glock Stabilizer Kits for 10mm and 45ACP Glock models with a rail. Those are currently available for pre-order and should be available by the end of March 2021. They’ve got their MG45 Angled Mag Holders for the 20/21 on the way as well.

Well, Recover Tactical recently announced they’re working on their 20/22 Stabilizer Kit for Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm and .40S&W full-size pistol models.

The new 20/22 Stabilizer Kit for the M&P. This configuration has the optional optics mount, buttstock and cheek rest, as well as some sorta foregrip attachment.

Their 20/22 Stabilizer kits for the M&P are pretty much identical to their Glock kits. They’ll be available in either black or tan in the following configurations.

20/22B – Stabilizer Frame, Brace w/Strap, Charging Handles (low/high profile)
20/22S – Stabilizer Frame, Brace w/Strap, Charging Handles (low/high profile), Minimalist Sling, Picatinny Side Rails
20/22H – Stabilizer Frame, Brace w/Strap, Charging Handles (low/high profile), Minimalist Sling, Picatinny Side Rails, G7 Holster w/Pistol Adapter (Can be used without the 20/22 stabilizer brace)
20/22UR – Stabilizer Frame, Brace w/Strap, Charging Handles (low/high profile), Minimalist Sling, Picatinny Side Rails, G7 Holster w/Pistol Adapter (Can be used without the 20/22 stabilizer brace), Upper Rail

And just like with their Glock kits, pricing starts at just $99.95. The kits include a lifetime warranty and a 90-day money back guarantee – if it sucks, send it back. The 20/22 Stabilizer kits are currently on pre-order at RecoverTactical.com and should be shipping by the end of March 2021.

Looks fun but I do have trouble imagining myself using it in a defensive situation realistically in any capacity as implied by the marketing. A rifle and pistol all in one approach?

So I'm carrying my folding brace equipped M&P9 in a regular holster when....than then I folded the brace out because I meant business and had the time and then....

@Eightysix I'm wondering if there is utility in it as part of a get-home bag. Kinda like if things go south, set-it up on my carry piece at that point and then if I'm forced to unass the vehicle enroute I may have something that helps me place shots a bit faster, more accurately and at a greater range in a more dynamic environment.

I haven't settled on an answer yet, just doing some mental gymnastics and "what ifs."

I still feel that these pistol-carbine chassis designs need a way to quickly and easily detach the "brace" (wink) part so you can have a reasonably compact pistol when you need it.
