Blue Force Gear (BFG) arrived in style and unveiled its newest batch of kit at TFB’s GunFest 2021. Among the slew of new offerings were their newest PLATE-6 carrier, as well as new CHLK and GRID belts.
[TFB GUNFEST] New Belts and Plate Carrier from Blue Force Gear
PLATE-6 Plate Carrier
BFG is a design company, and the PLATE-6 carrier is no exception. It’s built to meet end-user mission-specific requirements. The PLATE-6 is BFG’s first dedicated entry plate carrier.
The admin pouch up front has been streamlined for use with an ATAKs phone (or other mission accessories).
No gap between where the side plates and the front plate meet creates a seamless cummerbund.
Everything on the new PLATE-6 carrier is build to the lowest form factor possible. On the back of the carrier are additional MOLLEminus mounting options for whatever tools the operator may require. The only part of this kit that isn’t BFG is the Core performance pads that came highly recommended.
I look forward to seeing the PLATE-6 coming to market this spring.

CHLK Belt
Development on the new CHLK or Combat Helo Load Rated Kit was created after BFG was approached by Rangers who needed a new load rated belt for helicopter assaulters. Utilizing three clipping points on the outer belt, the CHLK is both rugged and versatile. At the front, the CHLK uses a load rated COBRA belt buckle that’s rugged and easy to use. The CHLK is actually two belts (the inner that’s removable) and the outer load rated. All the materials are laser-cut with natural curvature, so no needed break-in period. All of this added comfort has been added while maintaining the load rating while making it as light and thin as possible.Features

GRID Belt
In addition to the CHLK belt, BFG also unveiled their newest belt, the GRID. For those of you who aren’t planning on spending any time hanging out of a helicopter, the GRID belt was designed with you in mind. The only difference between the CHLK and GRID belts will be the plastic (not load rated) buckle upfront. Both belts will feature the lightweight and low profile MOLLEminus attachment method for whatever accessories you choose to mount.Features
