Introduced at SHOT Show 2020, the new Inforce Wild2 handgun light is now available for purchase. This is a 1913/Picatinny and Glock rail compatible light that has an aluminum housing and 1000 lumen output with up to 1.5 hours of run time. The company describes this new product as a culmination of “years of listening, learning, and product development” and as a light that “combines traditional Inforce styling with best-in-class durability, a studied optimal-blend of throw and spill, and convenient activation by users with small and large hands alike“.

The housing of new Inforce Wild2 light is made of 6061-T6 aluminum and has a Type III mil-spec hard coat anodized finish. The light is dustproof and waterproof to 66 feet. The compatibility with both Picatinny and Glock rails is achieved thanks to the patented mounting crossbar which must be flipped 180 degrees to transition between the two rail types. The length of Inforce Wild2 is 3.5″, the bezel diameter is 1.1″ and the light weighs in at 4.7 oz.

Along with the 1000 lumen output, the Inforce Wild2 light has a peak beam intensity of 25,000 candelas. As advertised by Inforce, this light provides a well-defined hotspot with the perfect balance of spill. The light has ambidextrous paddles that turn it on and off, allow switching between constant, momentary and strobe modes as well as put the light on a lockout mode. The activation of different modes is shown in a series of instructional videos published on Inforce’s website.

The Inforce Wild2 handgun light is powered by two 123A batteries positioned side by side in the housing. To access the battery compartment, one must unlock the battery door by pressing the button on the top plate. This button is deliberately made unaccessible when the light is mounted to the gun to prevent unintentional unlocking of the battery door. The battery compartment door is captive and moves back then pivots out of the way on a steel pin to allow changing the batteries.
