Nighthawk Custom has published a press release announcing the addition of a long slide pistol to their Shadow Hawk series of 1911-pattern handguns. In the description of this pistol, the company says: “Shadow Hawk Long Slide maintains all the features of its namesake, but in a 6” long slide configuration to create a supremely accurate pistol“. Nighthawk Custom Shadow Hawk Long Slide pistol is available in 10mm Auto and .45 ACP caliber options. The match-grade 6″ barrel is crowned and flush fit with the barrel bushing. The pistol comes with adjustable 2-dot tritium rear sight and a tritium front sight. Thanks to the slide length, the sight radius is 7.42″. The slide has front cocking serrations and fine 40 LPI (lines per inch) serrations on its rear portion matching the serrations of the rear sight.

The government size forged frame has no accessory rail and is fitted with a one-piece magwell and mainspring housing. The front strap and mainspring housing are checkered with 25 LPI checkering. The gun also features black/gray spiral cut G10 grips, flat-faced serrated lightweight aluminum trigger, shortened slide stop and single right-hand thumb safety. The steel parts have a nitrided finish. The overall length of this pistol is 9.65″ and it weighs in at 42 oz. The magazine capacity of the 10mm Auto version is 10 rounds.

The starting price of Nighthawk Custom Shadow Hawk Long Slide pistol is $3,999.
