Rock River Arms is one of the OG’s of AR-15 manufacturing. Well-respected and well-renowned Rock River Arms has consistently put out great products at an affordable price. The New Rock River Arms BT-9 4.5-Inch AR pistol is their latest offering to the firearms market. But in an already crowded scene, what does the BT92152 offer up and more importantly, what will it cost?

The BT-9 4.5″ AR-9 pistol is based on Rock River Arms’ own billet aluminum lower receiver. The Glock compatible flared magazine well is used in tandem with a magazine supplied by Rock River which is said to be compatible with standard Glock pistols.

The pistol comes complete with a chrome-lined 4.5-inch chrome-moly barrel with a full auto chamber and a 1:10 twist rate, a Rock River Arms Two-Stage trigger (I own one of these and they are amazing), and a Smith Vortex flash suppressor in 1/2×28 threading.

The overall length of the pistol is 23.5 inches with the included SB Tactical SBA3 5-position brace fully extended. A Houge rubber grip is included as the standard pistol grip and will give the pistol a solid, comfortable grip for everyday shooting. The included sights are Rock River Arms front and rear flip-up sights and the upper has a standard Picatinny rail

The entire package comes ready for its first range trip right out of the box and only ammunition is required. The MSRP on the BT-9 4.5-inch pistol with the SBA3 Arm brace comes in at $1,350.00. It’s not the cheapest AR pistol out there but it’s also not two and a half racks of overpriced blowback bulk.

It will be interesting to see how this new offering from Rock River Arms does in what I consider to be an extremely oversaturated market. While oversaturation gives you a lot of options it also tends to make things a bit murky when trying to find a quality product.  Your thoughts and comments are welcome below.
