Ever since the Ruger PC Carbine came out, fans have been wanting a wooden stock. Then Ruger came out with their free-float handguard version of the Ruger PC Carbine and the desire for a wooden stock intensified. Recently on the Ruger PCC Owners Group on Facebook, Kenneth G., aka Kenny G. (not the famous saxophonist), posted up pictures of his customized Ruger PCC. He calls it a Ruger PCSH-41 and it is a modified Ruger PCC stock merged with a PPSH-41 wooden stock.

Fans want an entire wooden stock but Kenny G. did the next best thing. He chopped up the factory polymer stock on his Ruger PC Carbine and modified a vintage PPSH-41 stock to fit. Here are some photos he shared with us.

I know what you are thinking. Hurry up RUGER and mass produce this!

Well until that happens you can try and make it yourself. Kenneth G. was kind enough to share some details of how he fitted the PPSH-41 stock onto his PC Carbine to make his PCSH-41.

The screws are only to affix blank plates in the original PPSH tang cut outs. The polymer and wood was a nice tight fit and I used marine grade JB weld to mate them permanently.

The shelf in the stock has to be cut down to get everything sitting low enough. Dremeled out some material at the back too. I also shortened the wood by about a quarter inch.
