For whenever you want to reach out a little bit further, and strike a little bit harder the caliber .300 Win Mag is a good choice. Just ask TFB’s Austin R who recently reviewed the Barret MRAD in 300 Win Mag. In fact, he used SIG Sauer’s new Elite Hunter 300 Win Mag with very good results.
Another user for the caliber is the U.S. Army, for instance in the M2010 Enhanced Sniper Rifle. According to SIG Sauer, the U.S. Army has just awarded them with a $10 million order for MK248 .300 Win Mag ammunition, to be used for sniping purposes.
