Miami, FL – Taurus®, manufacturer of premium handguns for defense, hunting, and sporting applications, is excited to announce the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for its new U.S. manufacturing facility and center of operations located in Bainbridge, Georgia. The event will be held Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the new corporate headquarters.

The move to Bainbridge, Georgia, follows an initial investment of over $22.5 million in infrastructure and the creation of over 300 new jobs in Decatur County. The 5-year plan foresees continued expansion in U.S. engineering and production for the Taurus®, Rossi®, and Heritage™ Manufacturing product lines, and significant capital and resource investment in the Bainbridge area.

Opening ceremonies will begin at 11:30 a.m. with introductions by Bainbridge Decatur County Development Authority Chairman Keith Lyle, recognizing state and local officials, special guests, and dignitaries. Following prayer, Taurus Holdings CEO David Blenker will welcome and address ceremony attendees, concluding with introductions by Georgia Senator Dean Burke and a presentation by Georgia Governor Brian Kemp. A ribbon cutting ceremony will conclude the event.

“All of us at Taurus have been anticipating this moment for some time,” said David Blenker, Taurus Holdings CEO. “It is the culmination of much hard work, intensive planning, and considerable investment in time and resources by many people—not only from Taurus, but also from the good people in the Bainbridge, Georgia, area.
