HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Ribbed For No One’s Pleasure – Magnum Hand Cannon

Welcome everyone to the 18th edition of ‘Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?’, one of our many series here on TFB. If you missed any one of our other articles, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this gat a sweet deal or just strait fudd appeal?  Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.

In our last edition, our poll showed that you the readers found the Brazilian UMP to be overwhelmingly Fudd Crap.

It appears our readers’ over the top dislike for this fudd crap couldn’t dissuade the buyer.  That’s right, the gun no longer remains on GunBroker after being purchased by buyer EagleEye101 for $440.00.  It appears this gat would not go quietly into that good night, and was bid on sixteen times before the auction ended.  Congratulations, EagleEye101. Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder.

In this week’s edition of HGFC, we look at a Custom Remington XP-100 in .350 Remington Magnum.  This pistol is currently up for auction on GunBroker with a starting bid of $1,000.00 and No Reserve.

HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Ribbed For No One’s Pleasure – Magnum Hand Cannon

Let’s see what the Staff had to say about this week’s offering:

“Check out this piece of driftwood I found. I only wish it was useful.” – Pete

“Looks like an ent’s dick.” – James Reeves

“Looks like Groot tried to fit a rifle to his arm” -Doug E.

“Yours for half price if you can shoot it left handed” -Giorgio O.

Selling this monster of a handgun is GunBroker seller Gableguns, located in Douglasville, Georgia.  Let’s see what they had to say about this one of a kind custom magnum handgun.

Full custom Remington XP-100 chambered in 350 Remington Magnum. Has Burris 1 1/2-4x Scope. 14” barrel with target crown. Action has been pillar bedded.no credit card fees. Shipping is $45 to lower 48.

As “handguns” go this one is rather insane when it comes to sheer firepower.  350 Remington Magnum is certainly no slouch and has the potential to deliver upwards of 3200 FT-LBs of energy downrange (out of a longer 20” barrel).

A closer look at the firearm leads you to believe it’s just like any other hunting rifle.  Except without that one crucial element that makes these rifles somewhat bearable. Ah yes, a proper shoulder stock.

It certainly is a fantastic firearm to look at, and the quality of the wood on this custom build is fantastic.  That still doesn’t take away from the fact that there is a huge Burris scope hanging off the rear. I’m sure it has more than enough stopping power for your next handgun hunt.  That is, if you dare put your face close enough to that scope and pull the trigger.

So what do you think?  Is this Custom Remington Magnum a Hot hunting Gat or awful wrist breaking Fudd Crap?  Let us know in the comments below, and be sure to cast your vote and let us know if this Custom Remington XP-100 is a Hot Gat or Fudd Crap:
