Here is the description of this pistol quoted from Ed Brown’s website:

We are pleased to introduce a special, limited edition 1911 from Ed Brown Products, Inc. in memory of the late Colonel Jeff Cooper. This commemorative 1911 is officially endorsed by the family of Jeff Cooper, and was designed in collaboration with them to render, as authentically as possible, what Jeff Cooper himself desired in a 1911.  The final design was based on input from our builders, the Coopers, and many of Jeff’s closest friends and fans. The goal was to create a 1911 for combat shooting and personal defense that he would have been proud to carry. The final product speaks for itself. If you were to own only one commemorative 1911, this would be the one.  A portion of the proceeds from this project will go to the Jeff Cooper Legacy Foundation to help them continue their work letting the next generation know who Jeff Cooper was, and what he meant to us all.

The Jeff Cooper commemorative pistol is a government size 1911 (with a 5″ barrel) chambered in .45 ACP. The pistol features an Ed Brown tactical profile thumb safety, beavertail grip safety, integral lanyard loop in the mainspring housing and 25 LPI checkering on the mainspring housing and front strap of the grip. The cocobolo grips bear Jeff Cooper’s logo that consists of his initials, a pen, and a sword. The polished blued slide has Jeff Cooper’s signature gold inlaid in front of the ejection port as well as the letters DVC also gold inlaid on its right side. DVC stands for “Diligentia, Vis, Celeritas” which when translated from Latin means “Accuracy, Power, Speed”. It is the motto of IPSC.

These pistols are available with a bound book style gun case that also includes a special printing of Jeff Cooper’s Yankee Fist book, a Jeff Cooper commemorative coin, a Legacy Foundation patch, a Legacy Foundation Pin and a letter of authenticity. The pistol and the case can also be purchased separately. The latter option might be interesting for those who own Ed Brown’s first Jeff Cooper pistols that they produced in 2008.

Lastly, enjoy a set of photos of this wonderful Ed Brown pistol.
