    Even though our readership hails from around the world, we here at TFB would like to wish everyone a happy and safe Fourth Of July holiday. Walking the Firearms, Not Politics line is not an easy task – there are times when we would like to praise or denounce certain legislative acts in support of individual liberty. But in a time where we appear to be more divided than united in the U.S., partisan politics can quickly spiral the drain that leads to attacks, hate and further misunderstanding.

    Instead, TFB upholds its original charter by starting the discussion about firearms and gear as objectively as possible, leaving the full power of freedom of speech and debate up to our readers.

    As a brief history lesson, the original journey from tyranny to freedom in the United States started on April 19, 1775 and ended on July 4, 1776. The people resisted attacks on their individual freedoms – including the right to keep and bear arms – and emerged victorious.

    Hopefully you all get a chance to spend time with family and friends today. But in between hot wings, cans of Bud Heavy and unexpected pool cannonball jumps, take a moment to remember the importance of preserving individual freedoms. Let us hope that we never have to use one right to defend or take back another.
