About the One Millionth GLOCK 43
Introduced in 2015, the single stack 9mm GLOCK 43 is arguably one of the most popular concealed carry semi-automatic pistols on the market. Tomorrow at 1pm EST, one lucky fan will win the G43, engraved by Rob Bunting of Baron Technology, Inc.
One side of the One Millionth 43 is intricately engraved while the other side of the slide is engraved with the 1,000,000 serial number.

They sold 1 million because of contracts with government such as Law Enforcement. The Officers were not the ones consulted, just the number crunchers as Glock were the cheapest Semi-automatics on the line. After they were used for awhile many LE Agencies bought Sig's, H&K's, etc. to replace the Glocks as their people simply liked them better.
