JMac Customs has introduced stock adapters that allow attaching SIG MPX/MCX folding stocks to AK rifles. Currently these adapters are available only for Arsenal AKs, however, the company is designing such adapters for a lot of other AK rifle variations (Yugoslavian, Romanian Dracos, Russian Veprs etc.) which will appear on their website shortly. Moreover, they are planning to offer similar adapters for other firearms, too!
These JMac Customs stock adapters are machined out of 7075 T6 aluminum and have a black anodized finish. Once installed on the rifle, the adapter provides a standard 1913 Picatinny rail at the rear of the receiver allowing to mount SIG MPX/MCX stocks. In order to fold the stock, you need to use the folding mechanism built into the SIG stock itself.
The installation process is pretty simple and straightforward. It is basically a matter of removing the folding mechanism pin and installing it back on the JMac adapter. Here is how the installation is accomplished.

The currently available adapters include two models – RSA-SF and RSA-4.5. The former is designed for milled receiver Arsenal SAM7SF rifles. The latter is compatible with the SLR-104, SLR-106 and SLR-107 stamped receiver Arsenal AKs in UR, CR and FR configurations. When mounted on the JMac Customs adapter, SIG stocks become in line with the bore axis of the rifle. Both versions of the adapters are priced at $79.95 on Jmac Customs website.
The image embedded below shows an interesting comparison of the standard triangle AK stock (far left), an AR-15 buffer tube and stock mounted on an AK and on the far right, you can see the SIG stock mounted on JMac Customs adapter.
As I mentioned in the first paragraph, JMac Customs is developing such adapters not only for AKs but also for other firearms. Here are some images of an unfinished adapter made for H&K MP5K.
