Gun Tote'N Mamas Creates Beautiful and Practical EDC Handbags

Many women say that most of the EDC pocketbooks look outdated and are impractical. Gun Tote’N Mama’s founder Claudie Chisholm is changing the EDC accessory marketplace for women.

Great Things Come in Small Packages

What Claudie lacks in stature, she makes up for in spunk! This is a woman who knows and loves the products her company produces!

Having spent over 40 years in the luggage industry (specifically in leather goods), Claudie says she saw a need in the women’s handgun purse and luggage market and simply “met it”. 🙂

Throwing the Pigskin Around

All handbags from Gun Tote’N Mamas are made from the finest full grain/top grain leather.

Claudie told me they only use American cowhides and New Zealand lambskin for their durability. Surprisingly, they also use a great deal of pigskin – the 4th strongest type of leather and is very lightweight.

All handbag straps come with an 11-ply steel cable sewn into the straps for durability and safety. With a less than .001% return for wire coming through the straps, you know they’re going to be a sound investment!

Claudie says that next, she realized a lot of the EDC purses were right-handed only…so she amade all ambidextrous handbags and then later holster-correct handbags so her customers can buy the purse that fits their current EDC.

Most of their handbags come with a 1 year warranty on construction and the leather handbags have a 2-year warranty.

Keep Peeping Toms Out of Your Wallet

In addition to EDC purses, Gun Tote’N Mamas also has a variety of RFID wallets.

Tired of purchasing entire handbags in order to protect credit card information, Claudie saw that the only part that really needed to be protected was the wallet – so she brought a line of RFID wallets (with the RFID actually sewn into the lining of the wallet) to SHOT Show this year.

The wallets haven’t hit the market (or GTM’s website) yet, but are expected to launch very soon.

Gun Tote'N Mamas new RFID wallets offer personal protection without needing an entirely new handbag.

But the item I wished I was carrying home with me was the new line of Rolling Range Bags, recently released in Q4 of 2017.

Boasting a 250 pound limit, these modular systems open up to allow a full day at the range to be stowed inside.

The handles expand to accommodate even the tallest woman (at 6’3″) but are still carryon-approved for airline usage as well.

Gun Tote'N Mamas Rolling Range Bags allow for up to 250 pound capacity.

Gun Tote’N Mamas is the top sponsor of Well-Armed Women and is in talks with Shoot Like a Girl as well. The company is created BY Women, FOR Women.

As founder Claudie Chisholm says of her products and accessories, “Take Control in Style”!

I don’t trust off body carry. People snatching purses tells me this is a bad idea.

@RetroG Oh, well then by all means, carry on!

Purses aren’t only snatched by people slashing the straps. Unless those steel cables are also surgically implanted in the carryer’s skeletal system, the bag is still quite snatchable.

There is nothing wrong with off body carry. You really have to get your hands on one to appreciate it. They probably stand out in that the leather is nicer than the average purse or tote bag. The buffalo and lambskin bags are really nice, I picked one out for my mom, for her 9mm. They don't give them away but you get a very high quality product and the leather is really nice. I have custom leather holsters and I appreciate the quality that GTM produces.
