One of the nice things about the Great American Outdoor Show is to see some vendors who did not go to SHOT Show. Keystone Sporting Arms is one such company that does not attend SHOT Show. Their Crickett rifle has been a corner stone for many young shooters learning to responsibly shoot their first rifle. For a long time, the Crickett rifle style has been stagnant. Sure they expanded by making wooden and laminate stocks. But last year they started to modernize their rifle and make it more popular. They released the Crickett Precision rifle.

At the GAOS, they brought out their new chassis and F-Class style Bench stock for their flag ship rifle.

The new Crickett chassis is made of aluminum and allows you to use AR grips and buffer tubes to use any AR style stock of your choosing. You can even add a folding mechanism. The chassis stock has a picatinny rail on the bottom so you can use a bipod.

They are bundling their Crickett Chassis with an adult sized trigger and a compact UTG stock.

Keystone is also offering a F-Class style stock for their Crickett rifle.

The chassis barrel is their standard tapered barrel but the F-Class style will have their threaded bull barrel. It also comes with a picatinny rail for optics. The chassis gun can use their Crickett rail which will allow you to use rings but it is not picatinny spec.

Both guns have adult sized triggers and while they look cool the trigger pull is rather substantial. Other than cosmetic reasons, I wish they did some work on their trigger to bring the trigger pull weight down.

The chassis version will retail for just $299 and the F-Class version will be $379.
