Over a year into the transfer process of my TPM Outfitters MP5SD, I have yet to start stock piling magazines. For one, H&K magazines aren’t the most affordable on the market and two there are a couple of polymer options in the works that I am hoping to review before committing to a ‘German vs U.S. made’ plan. You asked for it so X Products has delivered, the long awaited and highly anticipated X-5 MP5 50 Round Drum Magazine designed for your favorite MP5 or MP5 clone. The X-5 is engineered around our proven coil magazine technology which allows side by side staging of ammunition in a single stack.
Due to our patented tension relief device, the X-5 can operate for an almost unlimited number of spring loads and can even perform in weapons with capabilities of up to 800-900 rounds per minute. The streamlined design allows for zero separation of the ammunition during operation which prevents malfunctions and allows for an exceptionally compact profile.
The X-5 holds 50 rounds of 9mm in a shorter and more compact manner than the standard 30 round magazine. Manufactured of the highest grade materials which give it unparalleled reliability and strength. The critical components of the mechanism are coated in Cerakote™ for friction reduction and proven reliability without the need for lubrication.

It looks like the front is metal but not the feedlip(s)? That kinda makes me sad, for $250.
here are some more detailed pics of my mp5 drum i just received in the mail...for those wanting to see the feed lips better.
i havent shot it yet.
feels solid though.
wish it were higher cap than just 50 though. 75 (like suomi converted drum) would have rocked.
