New Crimson Trace Laserguard for Springfield XDS
If you have a Springfield XD-S and are in the market for new laser sights, Crimson Trace is coming out with a new product that should meet your needs. The new laser is a part of their Laserguard line and is called the LG-469G. It attaches to the front of your gun’s trigger guard and although it comes with Crimson Trace’s patented Instinctive Activation feature it also has a master on and off switch. The laser itself is green, adding another green laser to the company’s growing line of green laser sights, and attaches to the existing rail slots on the Springfield XD-S. It’s fully adjustable and designed to fit neatly with the design of the Springfield XD-S.
Lasers allow for faster target acquisition and can also be used as a training tool in many ways including during dry fire exercises. Trigger control can also be improved through the use of laser sights. Green lasers, specifically, are easier for the average person’s eyes to see whether during daylight or nighttime. Red works well indoors, or outside if it’s after dusk, but green can be used inside or outside regardless of time of day. Of course, there are downsides to green, as well, including limited range in bright sunlight and the inability to function properly in freezing temperatures.
Crimson Trace has been manufacturing laser sights and lights for years and has built a reputation as an industry leader in this particular area. In addition to their Laserguard line, their Lasergrips and Lightguard lines are popular, and all products are 100% made in the USA. MSRP $299.
