CMMG announced a pair of new varmint rifles called the Mk4 V and Mk4 V2. Both rifles are chambered in 5.56 NATO and are based on the AR-15 platform.
Both the Mk4 V and the Mk4 V2 have 24″ fluted barrels made of 416 stainless steel. A KeyMod handguard is standard on these rifles. The KeyMod handguard allows a shooter to add pieces of rail or accessories directly, while keeping the size and weight to a minimum. The upper receiver has a Picatinnny rail for mounting an optic.
The less expensive Mk4 V comes with a CMMG single-stage trigger. The Mk4 V2 comes with a Geissele Automatics SSA two-stage trigger.
The Mk4 V has a standard A2-type pistol grip and A1-type buttstock. The V2 uses Magpul MOE parts instead. MSRP for the Mk4 V is $1,249.95 while the Mk4 V2 comes in at $1,499.95.
